2024 CVSA/FMCSA Data Quality and Systems Training

Description

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and CVSA are proud to bring three days of system-wide training to state partners who report inspection and crash records to support FMCSA and state safety programs. This training event reinforces the federal and state commitment to reporting quality data. The next CVSA/FMCSA Data Quality and Systems Training is scheduled for Mar. 5-7, 2024, in Boston, Massachusetts.

State inspection and crash reporting efforts are vital to the success of state commercial motor vehicle safety improvement endeavors and to FMCSA’s data-driven safety programs, which prioritize resources for the greatest impact on large truck and bus safety.

The training will:
  • Provide you with ways to effectively use FMCSA’s systems to report accurate and complete crash and inspection data. These systems include, but are not limited to: SAFETYNET, DataQs, A&I Online, MCMIS and the Portal.
  • Recommend peer-tested tips and tricks to support your data quality improvement efforts.
  • Use a holistic training approach, including technical information, live system demonstration, and hands-on exercises from state and federal practitioners, so you leave better equipped to remember and apply what you learned.
  • Connect the importance of system understanding and reporting quality crash and inspection data to FMCSA’s mission of increasing large truck and bus safety on U.S. roads.
